Burst Media Burst Media will pay you to advertise on your web site, but unfortunately will not accept you if your site generates less than 20,000 page views per month.

Kanoodle - Providing Search-Targeted Sponsored Links Since 1999 These guys pay you to have customers perform searches on your web site which returns listings of their advertisers. You get payed per click when the user searching clicks on a sponsored ad.

Welcome to Google AdSense This is Google's AdSense program which provides ads targeted to the content of your web site which generate revenue for you as users click on the ads you put on your pages. So far I've seen clicks that have payed as high as $1.43 for one click. They also have video feeds you can add to your web pages from You Tube which have ads on them you get payed for as well. They have no minimum requirements for traffic on your site before you can sign up with them.

Yahoo! Publisher Network This is the Yahoo answer to Google's Adsense program. I'm not a member so I'm not sure how well they pay. Their program is very similar to Google's Adsense program with site specific targeted ads and cost per click pay. They will pay you through PayPal in addition to direct deposit and check. They also have many widgets you can add to your web site to help pump up your content.

Microsoft FrontPage Express Free Download This free version of Front Page Express is a little behind the times in editing capabilities.

The SeaMonkey® Project Seamonkey is a suite of internet applications which includes a very capable wysiwyg web editor called Composer. I personally use Composer to make many of the web pages that I publish.

KompoZer This is a wysiwyg web editor. It purports to make web editing easy for anyone even with no knowledge of html. I've never tried it so your mileage may vary.

Amaya Here is the publisher's description - "Using Amaya you can create Web pages and upload them onto a server. Authors can create a document from scratch, they can browse the web and find the information they need, copy and paste it to their pages, and create links to other Web sites. All this is done in a straightforward and simple manner, and actions are performed in a single consistent environment. Editing and browsing functions are integrated seamlessly in a single tool." I have this web editor/browser combination on my Ubuntu installation, and it doesn't render text sizes the same as my other editors or browsers, making the text very small. For that reason alone I don't use it.

Trellian Web Page This is another wysiwyg web editor. It has a unique split view you can use to view your rendered page with the html source right below it. It includes image conversion tools. You can drag and drop elements of your page around and the code updates to fix them in position.

1&1 Internet Inc. The least expensive alternative that still had many great features that I found, it's where my sites are hosted now. They allow you to pay for six months hosting at a time and give you half off on the first three months. I signed up for two domains to be hosted and they registered them for me for free.

Jumpline.com Secure Orderform This place is a bit more spendy but is currently having a 3 months hosting free deal. Three months would normally be $59.85.
